JULY 2016

SPECTACULAR SUNNY DAY FOR THE PARADE!
The Busiest July 4th Weekend in Years!
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful sunny day on July 4th!

Hello Friends & Clients,
The streets were packed with spectators watching our small town parade opening with the motorcycles, then race cars from the Aspen/Woody Creek Raceway! After that, an hour and a half of floats made everyone smile celebrating America’s Birthday! The town in jumping. Do not miss summer! WE LOVE SUMMER!!!

I have a few “unlisted” pocket opportunities too. Don’t hesitate to give me a call for buying, selling, renting or just to ask a question!

I look forward to seeing you this summer!

My best regards,

It’s All About The Numbers: The Real Estate Report

The stats continue to look pretty tough compared to a year ago. And, of course, the biggest numbers per square foot still come from the downtown core of Aspen, the West End and Red Mountain. The few crazy numbers are for the last new penthouses under construction directly downtown. Rumors abound about Phase II Dancing Bear penthouse is under contract from a speculator for about $4,000 per square foot for just the shell, with plans to put back on the market for $6,000 per square foot finished. The other rumor is that the 1,900 square foot penthouse on top of the former building on the southeast corner at Hyman and Hunter (same block as the Aspen Art Museum) is presold at over $3,000 per square foot as a shell. Obviously, these prices have no bearing on the residential market either direction from the walking core. In fact, the moratorium to build no more third stories and especially no more residential penthouses is causing these crazy prices.

It is time for buyers to make offers!! Look at the lower number of sales – time to buy!!!
